Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary
The wildlife sanctuary got its name from the historical town Bassi situated near the sanctuary. The Gwaliar Kings also used to visit here for hunting in this area. A special house was constructed for The Gwaliar Kings in Bhichor village. This describes the richness of the sanctuary in terms of wildlife. But slowly slowly the forest cover degraded and the wildlife population got decreased slightly. Some standard trees in this area were marked and kept standing as mother tress.
Location: The Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary is about 25 kilo meters away from the Chittorgarh city and it is well connected with roads. Bassi, Begun and Vijaypur are the nearest towns.

The Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary is surrounded by Hilly area of Vindhyan and Aravalli ranges and is covering approximately 139 square kilo meter area , it was initially notified in the year 1988.
